Welcome to PromptPages ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal information is handled in a safe and responsible manner. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our website and browser extension.
2. Information We Collect

When you open the side panel and ask a question about a page, the extension reads that page's visible text and sends it to us to answer. It reads a page only when you ask it to.

micVoice Input
If you use voice, the audio you record is sent to our servers to be transcribed into text, then discarded. We never record without you starting it, and the extension asks for microphone access separately from installation.
lanPage Diagnostics
So you can ask why a page is broken, the extension records that page's own network requests and console messages inside your browser. Nothing is sent to us unless you pick an entry and ask about it. See section 5.
3. How We Use Your Information

4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All communications between your browser and our servers are encrypted via SSL/TLS. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
5. Browser Extension Permissions
The extension requests access to all websites because you decide which page to ask about, and we cannot know that list in advance. What that access is actually used for is narrow, and worth stating plainly:
- •Page content is read only for the tab you have asked about, at the moment you ask. We do not crawl, and we do not read pages in the background.
- •A diagnostics script runs on pages you visit so it can observe that page's own network requests and console output from the moment it loads. Everything it observes stays in a small, capped buffer inside that tab, is erased when the tab closes, and is never transmitted anywhere on its own.
- •That buffer strips authorization headers, cookies, and values that look like passwords, tokens, card numbers or keys before storing anything.
- •The diagnostics buffer reaches our servers only if you select a specific request and ask a question about it.
- •We do not collect your browsing history, and we do not sell or transfer your data to third parties for advertising.
6. Third-Party Services
We may use third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI or Google) to process the content of web pages you analyze. These providers are bound by strict data processing agreements and are not permitted to use your data for their own purposes beyond providing specific computational services to us.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, update, or delete your personal information. You can manage most of your data through your account settings or by contacting our support team.
